Interprofessional student-run primary CARE clinics: A University-Enterprise Knowledge Triangle Cooperation Approach/ I CARE
The project aims to impart knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will enable future academic and non-academic healthcare professionals to function effectively in a university-enterprise collaborative care environment. This project develop and establish “I CARE” centres and Clinics which provide education, training, research, Primary health care patient treatment and community engagement.
Project objectives

To Promote University-enterprise cooperating by creating a comprehensive vertically integrated system of innovative development of knowledge triangle (study – research – primary health care business utilization) while achieving synergetic effect by using the knowledge and experience of the EU partner universities and institutions as well as Lebanese and Egyptians partners.

Develop a creative inter-professional student-led clinics of Primary health care as new placement mode

To develop effective -service for interactive collaboration between university- hospitals and healthcare and medical sittings in development and commercialization of e-health-innovative study and professional lifelong learning training programs.

To produce a new generation of healthcare institutions (enterprises), university, and research staff capable of performing constructive development in health and satisfy patient needs and safety in LEG.

To improve student employability and entrepreneurship skills and opportunities.

The project aims to achieve the following specific objectives:

Reinforcement and modernization of experiential education in health sciences curricula (Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry and Nursing, allied health services, psychology, etc.) through development of University – Enterprises ‘I care’ centres and clinics.

Introduction of inter-professional teaching and learning activities, including new joint In-service Inter-professional training and courses for all health sciences students;

Launching Inter-professional collaboration student-led clinics, the provision of comprehensive services to socioeconomically disadvantaged, poor and elderly patients by multiple health providers who collaborate within and across healthcare settings

Improving the teaching competency of academic staff and teacher practitioners/ clinician educators
